About

The Asian American Journalists Association was founded in 1981 as a nonprofit professional and educational organization for Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. The organization counts more than 2,000 members nationwide and works to encourage young people to consider a career in journalism, develop managers in the news industry and promote fair and accurate news coverage.

The San Diego chapter of AAJA has more than 30 members working in and around San Diego. The chapter hosts professional development and networking opportunities for journalists in the area.
