The early registration deadline for the 2009 AAJA National Convention has been extended — and so has the deadline to apply for a stipend from AAJA San Diego to defray the costs of attending.
The early registration deadline for this summer’s AAJA National Convention in Boston, which takes place Aug. 12-15, has been pushed back to June 19. The early registration fee is $225 for members, $350 for non-members, $100 for student members and $165 for student non-members. After June 19, the registration fees go up.
We know many members may be facing some tough times financially, so the San Diego chapter is offering stipends of $225 to $500 to members in good standing. In return, we ask you to volunteer during the convention, and during at least two AAJA chapter events during the year.
To apply, simply e-mail your resume and a letter stating why you need the financial aid to Jessica by June 12 at president@aajasandiego.org. To register or renew your membership, log onto president@aajasandiego.org. To register or renew your membership, log onto www.aaja.org/membership/join/.
