AAJA SD offered a total of $1,000 in scholarships and stipends each to professional journalists and students looking to pursue a career in journalism.
A $500 professional stipend was awarded to Dennis-Michael Broussard, who will subsidize his trip to this year’s AAJA National Convention.
Student journalists Regina Ip and Shalu Garg were each awarded $250 each. They will each also use the stipends to cover the costs of attending this year’s convention.
