Online media is growing ever more important, and no matter what aspect of journalism you work in, it is necessary to understand how to create, re-purpose and package content for the internet.

Professionals in San Diego’s leading group of online media content producers and editors will be answering questions posed by our moderator and some audience questions afterward.
The panelists will provide different areas of expertise and a wealth of knowledge of what it takes to create meaningful online content:
- Tracy Greer (online editor for North County Times)
- Leng Caloh (convergence editor for KPBS)
- Scott Lewis (CEO for Voice of San Diego)
The panel will be moderated by:
- Rebecca Coates Nee, a lecturer who teaches multimedia and public affairs reporting in the School of Journalism & Media Studies at San Diego State University. A former television news reporter and anchor, she holds a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University and is in the process of completing her doctorate in education technology at Pepperdine University. Her dissertation will be on the role of digital, nonprofit media in the emerging news ecosystem.
